1) He came up with the idea, not me.
2) He arranged for his Mom to come over and watch the boys.
3) The restaurant was close enough to our house that we walked, and it was WARM!
4) We had all-you-can-eat crab legs - one of my favorites!
5) We found we still had stuff to talk about.
6) And we laughed a lot, too.
7) Afterward we snuck back home and got in the car.
8) We drove through the alley to admire the work that's been done on our house so far from an angle we don't often see. It looks great!
9) Then we went out for ice cream.
10) We didn't feel guilty about talking about our kids.
11) He ordered a large shake, saving some for the boys.
12) The kids were still up when we got home. It was 8:30 and we didn't care.
13) The kids crashed pretty quickly - hardly ANY whining.
How great is that?
